FIRST TIMER?

Trying new things and going to new places can feel a little intimidating, we know. This post is for all of the babes who google the menu ahead of time when trying out a new restaurant. Here's the scoop on what to expect at your first Moka appointment.

THE WHERE

Moka studio is located at 5144 Butler Street Pittsburgh, PA 15201. We're directly across from Dive Bar Lawrenceville and street parking is free. You'll know you've found us when you see a gold MOKA sign on the door of our red brick building.

SO HAPPY YOU'RE HERE

Once you've found us come on in! If you arrive early and the client ahead of you is still in, the curtains will be closed and the door will be locked. We'll open up as soon as we're ready for you.

​LET'S CHAT

Upon arrival, you'll be asked to fill out our new client form if you haven't already. At this time, we'll discuss your desired color. We will also need to know if you have any allergies, skin conditions, or have been sunburned recently. This is a great time to hit us with any questions or concerns you may have about your first Moka tan.

OKAY, NOW LET'S GET GLOWING

After undressing to your comfort level in the booth area, you will be given a complimentary hair cover and barrier cream will be applied. You will then be guided through a series of poses. (Everyone's favorite poses are the "lift your boobs" and "stick out your butt", feel free to giggle) After your spray, we'll dry you using the air hose and our drying powder. Once you're dried to comfort, we'll wipe your palms, heels, and nails to be sure these areas are free of solution.

LET'S WRAP IT UP

Glow-up complete. After getting dressed, we'll go over your designated rinse time and aftercare instructions. We carry our favorite spray tan safe products in studio. Not sure what you need? Ask for recommendations! You can pay with cash, card, payment link, or QR code. Book an appointment to come back within two weeks and receive $10 off of that service.
